First Sentence Friday...
Ekk, this new Blogger Update is taking me a while to get used to. I had MEGA problems with trying to view my dashboard while in Internet Explorer 9. Some said my security settings were too high and others on forums said IE 9 was just trash. So after downloading Google Chrome I am now able to view my blog dashboard once again and such. Whew, I was seriously sweating there for a day or two. And I said more than a few choice words to my computer, my Internet, blogger, and so on.
Since everything is up and running again for me here is another First Sentence Friday! I've been reading a lot of YA Contemporary books lately since my WIP is YA Paranormal. Plus, I've just kinda been in that phase. I picked What A Boy Wants by Nyrae Dawn and I'm loving it! Such a cute, funny little book!
Here is the First Sentence of the Novel:
There was nothing better than opening my email to a job offer.
If you enjoy light YA Contemporary reads with a touch of comedy from a boy POV then you will LOVE this one! Check it out!
*On a side note, I have some news about Shattered Soul! It's one year book birthday will be coming up on May 14th! In honor of this, Shattered Soul has gotten a face lift and I am absolutely in love with it! I hope you guys will be too! Look for the new cover to be revealed soon!*
Happy Reading!

Changed Teaser Number Two...
Okay so, in all of my excitement during the Changed cover reveal...I forgot to post up the print edition the awesome Stephanie Mooney created for me. So here it is...along with another teaser...
For today's teaser I went with a little snippet that comes after Jace tells Tessa the story of how werewolves came to be. Yes, I went there. Arent' you excited to read that part? ;)

I couldn’t speak. I stared at Jace with unblinking eyes as the vivid story he’d just told continued to swim through my mind.
“I always wondered if that one life had been worth saving, if that—if this—was the outcome,” Jace said softly, his amber eyes twinkling with emotion.
I stared at him and realized how incredibly hard it must have been for him to change me, because for the first time I noticed how much Jace hated what he was. His entire saying of how the moon can rule a person’s entire existence meant so much more to me now.

Changed Cover Reveal...
Here it is guys, what you've all hopefully been waiting on the edge of your seats for, I know I have! This BEAUTIFUL cover was created by the SUPER talented Stephanie Mooney of Mooney Designs.
Would you fight to the death to prove you are worthy to stand beside the one you loved?
Eighteen-year-old Tessa Morganton’s life has flipped upside down. After learning Jace’s secret and discovering the man she’d thought all her life was her father isn’t, she must also cope with the reality of what she’s now become—a werewolf.
Tessa tries to maintain her normal life while her body changes more and more each night as the full moon grows closer, but when Shelby comes back to pay her a visit, Tessa soon realizes turning into a wolf may not be the only dilemma she will have to overcome.
As the Wolf Moon draws near, Tessa uncovers some things about Jace and Shelby’s relationship and exactly what Pack Law entails in the untraditional situation Jace has created for them all.
Are you ready for an excerpt? :) Well, here you go:

An itch began to spread slowly from my bite mark and across my entire body. It never seemed to be satisfied, and I worried that if I continued to scratch it the way that I was, I might draw blood. My eyes flickered toward my bedroom window while I anxiously awaited Jace’s tapping. When was he going to be here? I didn’t want to change in my bedroom!
And then he was there—his smiling face filled with excitement, staring at me through the glass. I pushed the window open, but didn’t smile in return.
“Ready?” he asked, his amber eyes twinkling in my bedroom light as he removed the screen from my window.
I shook my head. “No, I’m not feeling so well.”
“You’ll be all right; it’ll go away shortly. Trust me, Tessa, come outside,” he whispered into the night, his gaze shifting toward the full moon.
Even though my legs were trembling beneath me, I still managed to climb out my window without falling on my face thanks to Jace. The cool night air gently swept across my skin, cooling my itch upon contact. Jace took my hand in his and slowly we began walking away from my house and out into my darkened backyard.
I took in a few deep, measured breaths while we walked and didn’t glance over my shoulder once to see if my mother was watching for me. I didn’t care if she saw me; it was the least of my problems at the moment.
The beautiful full moon caught my attention as we neared the edge of my yard, and I stared at it, mesmerized. My pulse quickened. I could feel it pulsating in my fingertips and wondered if it was as loud to Jace’s ears as it was to mine.
“Let’s go back a little farther tonight,” Jace insisted.
I nodded, grateful for the first time in my life that my parents and I lived on three acres of land. Stepping over twigs and weaving through branches, we made our way farther into the wooded lot. I found it extremely easy to see where I was going. My eyesight had grown amazingly clear.
When Jace finally came to a stop, I shifted my gaze to his face and marveled in the look of childlike excitement etched into his features. I wished I could feel even a tiny portion of that right now. Instead, all I felt was a crippling fear eating away at me.
“You’re shaking. You okay?” Jace asked, gripping both of my clammy hands in his and looking directly in my eyes.
A tiny hysterical giggle escaped me. “No, I’m not okay. I’m scared to death right now. I’m so freaking scared that this is going to hurt just as badly as being bitten did.”
His face softened, his excitement washing away at my words to become replaced by an intense look of guilt. “It won’t, not if you don’t fight it. You’ll be all right. I promise. I’ll be here with you the whole time.”
My lips formed into a hesitant smile as I looked deeply into his eyes. The smile was more for show than anything. Don’t fight it? How did you not fight something like this?

First Sentence Friday...
Friday- Whoot, Whoot! This week I read Because Of Low by the talented Abbi Glines. It was only .99! Such a steal!
Here is the First Sentence of the Novel:
Moving back home sucked.
You gotta read this one if you enjoy YA Contemporary works with in depth characters and a heartstring tugging storyline.
I'm curently reading Simply, Mine by Jane Carrington. It's pretty decent so far, but I am only 4% finished with it on my Kindle. It does look promising though. My only thing is I'm not sure why it is titled Poor White Trash on Goodreads.
Here is the First Sentence of the Novel:
I was already awake when my alarm clock went off.
Happy Reading and look for the Changed Cover Reveal tomorrow!

Changed Teaser Number One...
Here we go! I'm beginning the teasers for Changed already which could only mean one thing...we're close to the release date, right? Guess you'll have to be on the look out for my Cover Reveal Post to find out when. ;)
Here is the first Changed Teaser:
“Okay.” I sighed. I pulled away and tilted my head up to press my lips against his. There was something he was hiding from me, something that he didn’t think I was ready to know. I had been able to sense it these last couple of days. It came off him in tiny waves. This must be what people meant when they said animals could sense your emotions.
Happy Reading!
Here is the first Changed Teaser:
Jace stood and held a hand out to me. “Come here.”
I placed my hand in his and let him pull me up against him. He wrapped his warm arms around me, and I rested my head against his chest.
“I know the full moon coming up has you a little freaked out and you’ve got all of this parent stuff going on, too.” He paused to kiss the top of my head. “You have enough to think about, and I don’t want to add anything else that might worry you right now.”

First Sentence Friday...
I am amazed that it is Friday already! This was the first week of actual baseball games in the Snyder household. Our 8 yr old son is playing his second year and boy did we forget how time consuming sports could be. My house has been a mad house this week!
I finished Blood Will Tell by Samantha Young this week. I rated it 5 of 5 stars because I am just in awe of Ms. Young's creativity for the Paranormal aspect to her novels. I will be reading the rest of that series shortly!
What am I currently reading? This is the burning question you all are asking yourselves, right? Well, to answer your question, I'm reading Frost by Kate Avery Ellison. I've seen the cover and blurb for this novel all over the Internet it seems and it looked very intriguing. So, I sampled it on my kindle and wanted more. It's really grabbing my interest! The writing style is beautiful and the flow is mesmerizing.
Here is the first sentence of the novel:
It was cold, the kind of cold that made bones feel brittle and hands ache.
Sounds good, right? I know!
In other news, there's only 8 more days until the Changed (Marked Duology Book 2) Cover Reveal! I'm super excited to share it with you! I've been hard at work this week going through Changed edits and deciding between cover mock ups. I've also began focusing on Hereafter for those of you who are Touch fans.

First Sentence Friday...
Another Friday has come! This week I was finally able to get enough time to sit down and finish Rival Demons by the talented Sarra Cannon. And I have to say, I was a little skeptical on the twist this book had in the beginning due to where the previous book left off, but Mrs. Cannon pulled it off very well! I am anxiously awaiting the final instalment of the Peachville High Demons series.
And now on to what I am currently reading--Blood Will Tell by Samantha Young. I've said before that I really enjoy Samantha Young's writing style. I've only read two of her novels so far (Smokeless Fire and Drip Drop Tear Drop) but I loved them! I have the Lunarmorte Series on my kindle and am anxious to read them. I'll get to them soon I'm sure, especially now that I've finished with the Marked Duology series and feel comfortable reading about werewolves without it having any influence in my story. I have SO many werewolf books that I want to read! Most of them are sitting on my kindle, too! Untouched. It's a tragedy really.
Okay, back to Blood Will Tell. I'm loving the beginning so far. Samantha Young has a very vivid way of writing. Wonderful!
Here is the first sentence of the novel:
Her brother, Stellan, was always telling her curiosity killed the cat.
I have a feeling this story is going to become another favorite.
Happy Reading everyone!
*And* if you've been following the Marked Blog Tour...stop number 5 is today! It's over at Seeing Night Reviews. You can check out a review for Marked there by clicking HERE.
