It's Friday, again. This is actually a good thing because I'm exhausted from the week and the weekend holds within it the promise of sleep. One of the best things about this weekend is...no 9A.M. baseball game on Saturday!
This week I've read some scorchers. I'm normally not into the erotic reads because my cheeks betray me every time a steamy scene comes along letting the world know (mainly my husband) that I'm reading one of those books. And then I'm teased relentlessly. This week my cheeks have been flaming. I started the week off with Hearts Of Darkness by Laura Kaye. Caden was super hot!
Here is the First Sentence of the Novel:
"Wait! Can you please hold that?"
What I loved about this novel was how it makes you think. Could you fall for someone without ever seeing their face? These two MC's are stuck in an elevator, trapped in darkness for hours. During this time they get to know one another's personality and then some. ;)
At the moment I'm reading Bared To You: A Crossfire Novel by Sylvia Day. I don't even know what to say about this book besides who knew being so possessive could be even the slightest bit sexy? The way Ms. Day pulls it off with Gideon Cross...umm, it most certainly is. I won't say that I didn't know what I was getting into when I purchased this book, because I did. I read a few reviews that compared it to Fifty Shades Of Gray (which I have not read.). Needless to say my cheeks, my neck--heck, my entire face have been red from this book!
Here is the First Sentence of the Novel:
"We should head to a bar and celebrate."
So, what are you reading this week? Anything good?

I know, right? I can't read erotica in public for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteThe premise for Hearts of Darkness sounds cool. :D
Boy, if we didn't have e-readers, books like 50 Shades of Grey might not have made it so big.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! I was thankful for my Kindle when reading Bared to You because even the cover is hot!
ReplyDeleteBared to You is a dark, intense emotional romance. After I finished I wished there was more and I'm glad Ms. Day is going to be writing a sequel (according to her website). The end was on a note of hope but there is still a lot Eva and Gideon need to work through and it couldn't have been wrapped up in one book so I'm very thankful the author didn't rush the ending.
