This week has been all about reading for me. I'm not currently reading a book at the moment, I'm processing the three I read this week. So technically, this First Sentence Friday is really more of a Recap than about my current read.
I finally finished the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan. The final book was called Night's Child and I absolutely loved it! It was a very good ending to an awesome series.
Here is the first sentence to this final book:
Three minutes to five.
Pretty vague. This series has not been the best with luring me in when it comes to the first sentence, but like I said, it was still a good set of books.
After reading Night's Child I picked up The Initiate (Cloud Prophet Trilogy Prequel) by Megg Jensen. I really enjoyed the entire Cloud Prophet Trilogy and could not wait to read this one and become lost in the wonderfully descriptive world Megg Jensen creates. I was not disappointed, even by the shortness that is this Prequel.
First sentence of the book:
"Don't tear up, Eloh," she told me.
If you have not read this series I suggest you check it out!
And lastly, but certainly not least...I read The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines. Whoa! This was an amazing book! A MUST READ! Beau is scorching hot!
Here's the first sentence of the book:
"You noticed anything different about Ash?" my cousin, Sawyer, asked as he climbed up the tree to sit beside me on our favorite limb overlooking the lake.
There's my Recap! Happy Reading everyone! *And look for Shattered Soul to be FREE starting tomorrow on Kindle! Snag it up while you can, it goes off sale Monday!*
